Position Overview
Mint Cannabis is in search of a skilled Assistant General Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for motivating and mentoring a team of over 20 employees. Your leadership will inspire a group of dedicated individuals focused on fostering a welcoming atmosphere and nurturing the Mint Culture. Ideal candidates will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong leadership abilities, high customer service standards, and effective conflict resolution skills. You should be a qualified, authentic individual committed to shaping the cannabis industry, demonstrating accountability, integrity, and a drive to make a meaningful impact. We uphold our values and have cultivated a culture of trust that emphasizes hard work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership:
- Guide and direct a team of 25-50 individuals.
- Oversee daily sales reporting and ensure completion.
- Maintain exceptional customer service by establishing and enforcing company standards, addressing customer inquiries, and resolving complaints.
- Monitor the dispensary environment and key performance indicators to identify issues and opportunities for improvement, coaching the team to achieve operational goals.
- Coordinate inventory audits and assess productivity in collaboration with other departments.
- Engage in ongoing education and professional development.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Department to analyze metrics and recommend future strategies.
- Supervise daily operations, including product orders, cash handling, financial reporting, customer communication, patient education, and team management.
- Provide feedback for employee performance evaluations.
- Oversee operations, merchandising, staffing, training, rewards, discipline, and employee assessments for the store.
- Offer support to other employees in various roles.
- Expectations:
- Comply with all cannabis state-specific regulations and laws, executing and enforcing compliance measures.
- Foster a positive attitude and encourage teamwork.
- Utilize management information tools and analyze financial reports to identify trends and address in-store performance issues.
- Ensure facility security when closed, maintaining secure alarm and safe codes.
- Management:
- Lead with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that embodies Mint Cannabis's values and culture.
- Conduct daily and monthly team meetings.
- Establish a regular schedule for retail staff, including time off.
- Build and maintain vendor relationships.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to oversee recruiting, interviewing, and hiring processes to assemble a team that delivers exceptional customer service and patient care.
- Authorize a second party and act as a witness during employee discipline and terminations.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience:
- Customer Service: Minimum 2 years.
- Management: Minimum 1 year.
- Retail Cannabis Industry: 1 year preferred.
