Diesel Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Equipment Specialist to join our team at US Foods, Inc.
The Role:
In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet vehicles by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining diesel equipment. Your expertise will play a vital part in maintaining compliance with trucking regulations, guaranteeing our services meet the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, bobtails, reefers, lift gates, etc.)
- Perform preventative maintenance according to company standards
- Document all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability
- Handle road service calls and perform road rescue/transport equipment as needed
- Maintain accurate records and inventory
- Work collaboratively with other maintenance personnel to ensure seamless operations
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of commercial diesel mechanic or reefer experience
- Alternatively, 2 years of diesel mechanic experience with TK or Refrigeration certification
About the Benefits:
We offer competitive pay rates, starting at $26.00 per hour, plus an excellent benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, and much more. New hires are eligible for a $5,000 retention bonus.
Schedule:
This position requires working Sunday through Friday from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with opportunities for overtime when needed.
