Job Title: Clinical Nurse I: D2E: CCU

Albany Medical Center is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse I to join our team in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU). As a key member of our nursing staff, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a compassionate and caring environment for patients, families, and colleagues.

Job Summary:

The Clinical Nurse I will work in a fast-paced environment, providing direct patient care to adult patients experiencing actual or potential life-threatening cardiac dysfunction. You will be responsible for implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, procedures, and special tests, and documenting treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and special tests, and document treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions.
  • Assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
  • Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
  • Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team environment and maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive patient information.
