Role Summary

The Export Coordinator is tasked with overseeing export functions within the logistics framework. The main objective is to guarantee accuracy, meet deadlines, and provide outstanding service. This role demands a keen eye for detail and effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders to enhance and streamline export processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation of shipping documentation for export transactions.
  • Manage specialized shipping requirements for clients and sales.
  • Assist with invoicing for domestic shipments.
  • Provide quotes for shipments that exceed LTL limits in terms of weight and pallet count.
  • Coordinate with local carriers for pickups and execute other dispatch tasks.
  • Work closely with internal and external partners to ensure the precise and timely processing of orders.
  • Engage with freight vendors to monitor shipments and secure necessary documentation.
  • Resolve inquiries related to customer service and freight vendors via email.
  • Encourage a collaborative workplace by promoting effective communication and cross-training to boost team productivity and skill enhancement.
  • Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications (Education, Experience, & Skills Required)
  • Associate's degree or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in export operations within a freight forwarding environment is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with Infor LN (BAAN) is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
  • Capacity to devise innovative solutions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are a must.
  • High level of accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
  • Strong commitment to completing assignments promptly, utilizing effective time management techniques.
