Procurement and Supply Chain Coordinator

Spectra Precision, a leading brand in the laser industry, is seeking a highly skilled Procurement and Supply Chain Coordinator to join our innovative supply chain team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our production plans and ensuring seamless production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source materials and negotiate with top-tier suppliers to secure optimal pricing and quality.
  • Assess production capacity and adjust plans to accommodate changes in demand, equipment availability, or staffing.
  • Manage the procurement process, including purchase orders, approvals, and supplier performance evaluations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with inventory management to avoid stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with operational needs.
  • Assess supplier capabilities and conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality and ethical standards.
  • Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Utilize historical data and market trends to accurately forecast future demand and plan production schedules accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier information.
  • Execute RFQ processes, solicit bids, and evaluate proposals to secure optimal pricing and quality from suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • ~3-5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • ~ Proficiency with MS Office, procurement software, and ERP systems for purchasing and inventory management.
  • ~ Knowledge of technical components and applications.
  • ~ Ability to read and understand technical systems standards and blueprint electrical symbols.
  • ~ Manufacturing background with functional/technical experience understanding labor, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • ~ Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • ~ Knowledge of supply chain processes, logistics, and inventory control.
  • ~ Understanding of procurement regulations and ethical sourcing practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or additional certifications in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • Professional certifications in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Experience working with global suppliers and managing international logistics.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends in production planning and supply chain management.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess supplier performance and market trends effectively.
