Job Overview

As a Warehouseperson at DB Schenker, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate movement of freight, inventory control, and other warehouse-related duties. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Loading and unloading freight accurately and efficiently
  • Inventory control, rotation, and inspection
  • Loading and unloading containers and sorting freight according to size and destination
  • Reading, decoding, and deciphering freight coding to expedite movement and tracing
  • Reconciling driver pick-up and delivery manifests
  • Labeling, weighing, and dimensionalizing freight
  • Cleaning up the work area to ensure safety and cleanliness of the dock
  • Recording damaged shipments and misrouted freight on applicable reports

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2-4 years of experience preferred
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and ability to operate a forklift and computer
  • Strong organizational, inventory, and accounting skills
  • Ability to perform all essential functions with or without a reasonable accommodation
