Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CT Technologist to join our Radiology team at Mount Sinai Health System. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing CT scans and other diagnostic exams, preparing patients for procedures, and ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CT scans and other diagnostic exams, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including positioning and educating them on the imaging process.
  • Operate radiographic imaging equipment, including CT scanners and injectors.
  • Assist in the preparation of sterile surgical instruments and supplies.
  • Coordinate scan protocols with radiologists and ensure accurate labeling of images.
  • Minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff, adhering to radiation protection techniques.
  • Perform quality assurance procedures and ensure all images are transmitted to PACS in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Minimum 2 years of progressive CT experience (new graduates considered).
  • Excellent technical skills, knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, and positioning.
  • New York State License (L.R.T.).
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and current CT certification.
