Deliver exceptional massage and body therapy services to all Spa patrons. This role necessitates unwavering compliance with departmental policies and procedures as outlined in the Biltmore Standard Operating Procedures (BSOP's).
Key Responsibilities
Therapist Duties:
- Administer Spa services to guests promptly, courteously, and efficiently, adhering to Biltmore Standards and Protocols alongside Leading Hotel Standards.
- Guide Spa guests to and from treatment areas, addressing any immediate needs during their visit.
- Provide information in response to inquiries and assist in coordinating all guest service requests.
- Market and sell Spa retail merchandise.
- Participate in all training sessions and meetings organized by the Spa.
- Assist in the training of new therapists regarding treatments, protocols, and standards.
- Support the Spa Supervisor and Lead Spa Concierge in educating the Concierge team on the benefits and key selling points of each treatment.
- Conduct evaluations and audits on treatments.
- Monitor weekly inventory of supplies and prepare necessary purchase orders for the department.
- Inspect treatment rooms and compile a weekly report on their condition, noting therapists who do not adhere to room setup protocols.
- Help with staff scheduling to optimize service availability.
- Coordinate vendor meetings, training sessions, and incentives (under the supervision of the Operations Manager).
- Assist with additional administrative tasks and assignments as requested by management.
- Collaborate with other spa departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Inspect treatment rooms and prepare a weekly report on their condition, noting therapists who do not adhere to room setup protocols.
- Support management in conducting internal audits of all Leading Hotel Standards for their specific department.
- Attend all Biltmore Team Lead meetings led by the Training & Development Manager.
- Complete the department's audit quota weekly/monthly as assigned by the Department Head and Training & Development Manager.
- Assist managers/supervisors in creating and maintaining up-to-date department training manuals and training both new and existing staff.
Education and Experience
- Education: High School Diploma required.
- Experience: Minimum of two years in a similar role within the Spa industry.
- Must be able to:
- Communicate effectively in English (speaking, reading, writing).
- Perform accurate mathematical calculations.
- Provide clear communication and directions.
- Execute job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
- Prioritize and organize tasks efficiently.
- Maintain composure, resolve issues using sound judgment.

- Maintain confidentiality of guest information and relevant resort data.
- Utilize a computer keyboard and possess basic typing skills.

- Adapt to a dynamic and constantly changing work environment.
- Demonstrate multitasking abilities.
- Must be able to:
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 20 pounds without assistance.
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Use, carry, and operate all necessary office equipment with finger dexterity.
- Communicate effectively with employees, managers, subordinates, and guests through verbal communication, hearing, and visual acuity.
- Visually focus on a computer for extended periods.
- Adapt to moderate temperatures in the hotel, as climate control is managed by hotel systems. Most tasks are performed indoors.

- Must possess a valid Florida State Massage license.
