Gusto Holdings, LLC is seeking a skilled Grill Cook to join our team in Tucker. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you can utilize your culinary skills to create delicious and memorable dishes.
About the Role:
As a Grill Cook at Gusto, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients that make our food flavorful and appealing. Your tasks will include cutting, chopping, slicing, labeling, dating, and storing food items while adhering to our food preparation standards. You must be respectful, professional, and highly adaptable in a busy kitchen environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Recipe Preparation: Prepare all recipes according to Gusto's standards and specifications.
- Cleaning and Sanitizing: Wash designated food products in antimicrobial fruit and vegetable treatment, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
- Vegetable Preparation: Chop and slice vegetables to precise measurements.
- Ingredient Measurement: Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients accurately.
- Food Storage: Store, label, and rotate all food items according to company and health department standards.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain the kitchen, equipment, and food storage areas organized, cleaned, and sanitized according to company and health department standards.
- Food Safety: Follow all food safety guidelines to ensure customer safety.
- Uniform and Hygiene Standards: Adhere to uniform and personal hygiene standards, including wearing non-slip shoes and cutting gloves.
- Product Freshness: Monitor product freshness and rotate perishable and non-perishable products.
- Equipment Operation: Operate large-volume kitchen equipment such as grill, deep-fat fryers, and other large kitchen equipment.
- Physical Demands: Be comfortable standing for an entire shift and occasionally lifting items no heavier than 53 lbs.
- Additional Duties: Perform other assigned shop duties as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Culinary Skills: Ability to read and follow recipe instructions accurately.
- Teamwork: Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Punctuality and Reliability: Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy.
- Multitasking: Ability to multitask and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Shift Flexibility: Ability to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and some holidays, as required.
- Continuous Learning: Desire for continuous learning and professional development.
- Transportation: Must have reliable means of transportation.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Experience: Food prep experience preferred but not required.
