Caregiving Professional for Marshalltown Area

Village Caregiving seeks a reliable and compassionate Caregiving Professional to join our team in the Marshalltown area. As a key member of our care team, you will provide essential support to our clients, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.
About the Role:This is a part-time opportunity that requires flexibility and a strong work ethic. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our clients, including assistance with daily living activities, mobility, and personal care.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside, including accompanying them to doctor's appointments and walks.
- Provide personal care and hygiene assistance, ensuring our clients' dignity and comfort at all times.
- Support clients in completing physical therapy and other recommended exercises, promoting their overall health and well-being.
- Accompany clients on shopping trips or assist with grocery shopping, ensuring they have access to the resources they need.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, preparing meals, and maintaining a safe and clean environment for our clients.
- Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors, and family members, ensuring we stay informed and up-to-date.
- Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors, and family members, prioritizing our clients' safety and well-being.
- Previous caregiving experience is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification is mandatory; we will provide training if you are not currently certified.
- A willingness to adhere to health and safety standards is essential, as is your ability to work safely and efficiently.
- You should have knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints, ensuring our clients receive tailored support.
- We require a respectful and compassionate individual with a good bedside manner, able to build trusting relationships with our clients.
- Ongoing communication, time management, and interpersonal skills are crucial, as you will work closely with our team and clients.
- Physical endurance is necessary to complete required tasks, which may include heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required, demonstrating your ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.
