The Material Handler is a position that reports to the Supervisor, Warehouse with duties to move and transport materials within and between operating areas.
This role includes responsibilities such as:
- Understanding and complying with all applicable SOPs, GMPs, and departmental guidelines to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Safely and proficiently operating multiple types of Powered Industrial Trucks (PITs).
- Completing daily PIT safety check lists and safely charging batteries.
- Maintaining skill proficiency in SAP, WES, Microsoft Outlook, and other programs necessary for warehouse activities.
Additionally, this role involves:
- Supporting site and department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Performing housekeeping tasks to keep work areas clean and organized.
- Assisting in cycle counting and location audit activities.
- Receiving, shipping, and storing direct materials, chemicals, HAZMAT materials, and non-stock materials.
- Understanding Bill of Lading information and communicating with outside truck drivers and carriers.
The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping and receiving, Dangerous Goods certification, and effective communication skills.
