Job Summary

The Block Machine Operator is a key member of our production team, responsible for setting up, maintaining, and operating our manufacturing equipment. This role ensures safe and efficient production of our product, adhering to strong quality standards.

Essential Functions
  • Set up, operate, adjust, and maintain block machine and batching, handling, and packaging equipment from start to finish of the daily production cycle.
  • Control and adjust machine settings, and perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and perform repairs.
  • Achieve weekly and monthly production goals while adhering to quality standards.
  • Inspect product, both finished and pre-finished, and take required corrective actions as necessary.
  • Communicate with supervisor and fellow team members on safety, quality, production, equipment, and maintenance.
Qualifications and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability and willingness to learn and be trained.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills a plus.
  • Ability to operate a forklift a plus.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with overtime during peak season.
Work Environment

Perform all work in accordance with YBP Safety policies. The work is performed outdoors and/or indoors, enduring heat, cold, rain, dust, wind, and other elements. Capable of operating various types of heavy equipment and/or machinery.

Physical Capabilities

Physical demands include but are not limited to walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
