Job Title: Android Reverse Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Android Reverse Engineer to join our team at Hudson IT. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for conducting reverse engineering, security assessments, and code reviews to identify and mitigate threats to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct reverse engineering, security assessments, and code reviews to identify and mitigate threats to our clients.
  • Develop and maintain static and dynamic signatures for mobile code, binaries, and executable code to detect a variety of threat types.
  • Identify weaknesses in detections and automations and make recommendations for improvements in the detection process and automation pipeline.
  • Write complex reports for consumption of non-technical audiences and review peer reports.

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with analyzing, unpacking, and reverse engineering code of malicious applications or SDKs.
  • Knowledge of static and dynamic analysis techniques and reverse engineering tools such as Jadx, Ghidra, Frida, IDA Pro, Burp.
  • Experience with Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, Flutter, and other mobile software languages.
  • Understanding of Android fundamentals, Java and/or Kotlin programming language, and techniques utilized by malicious software to harm the user's device or their data.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with vulnerability analysis or security code review.
  • Android software development experience.
  • Background or familiarity with Google Ads or content moderation.
  • Participation in a Capture the Flag (CTF) for mobile software.
  • Pentesting, Blue Team, and/or Red Team experience.

Education and Experience:

  • Associates/Bachelor's Degree/master's in computer science, computer engineering, CS, or information systems, or related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on Android and reverse engineering experience.
