About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in a campus setting. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in facilitating the development of social skills, receptive/expressive language, augmentative/alternative communication, and oral motor skills for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide primarily indirect service and some direct service in areas of dysphagia management and communication.
  • Conduct formal/informal communication evaluations, dysphagia screenings, and augmentative/alternative communication evaluations.
  • Participate in individual's annual reviews/scheduled meetings related to individual programs and progress.
  • Collaborate as an interdisciplinary team member in program development and implementation.
  • Maintain departmental records, reports, and individual's materials.
  • Attend professional meetings, workshops, and training to meet continuing education requirements.
Requirements
  • Licensure as a Speech Pathologist by the Iowa Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology Examiners.
  • OR possession of a Temporary Clinical License or a temporary permit as issued by the Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology Examiners.
