Geisinger's Orthopaedic Hand Surgeon Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Board-certified or Board-eligible Hand Surgeon to join our multidisciplinary team at Geisinger's Western and Northeast regions. As a leading healthcare organization, we prioritize providing high-quality care and advancing the science of orthopedic surgery through research and education.

Compensation: The estimated salary for this position is around $550,000 per year, taking into account the location, experience, and qualifications required for the role. Our compensation package includes medical school loan repayment, a monthly stipend for residents and fellows, and a competitive straight salary model linked to quality and value measures.

About the Role

  • As a Hand Surgeon with Geisinger, you will work closely with 85 physicians, 90 advanced practitioners, and 575 employees to provide comprehensive care for patients with various orthopaedic conditions.
  • You will have opportunities to collaborate with local semi-professional teams, including the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.
  • Your contributions will shape the future of healthcare and improve lives for our patients, communities, and you.

About Geisinger's Western and Northeast Regions

Our Western Region supports two areas – State College and Lewistown – with Geisinger Healthplex State College and Geisinger Lewistown Hospital (GLH). You will have access to state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, as well as opportunities for teaching, research, and professional growth.

Our Northeast Region covers two areas – Wilkes-Barre and Scranton – with three hospitals, a multi-disciplinary Healthplex in Pittston, and numerous MSKI outpatient clinics. You will be part of a dynamic team that prioritizes patient-centered care and innovative approaches to healthcare.
