Special Education Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team at Rivermont Schools in Virginia.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student with special needs. They will also monitor student progress, manage challenging behaviors, and work closely with support staff and parents to create a supportive learning environment.
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary range of $60,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on location, education, and experience.

Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in special education, education or a closely related field from an accredited institution
- Strong experience in creating, implementing, and managing IEPs
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
- Possesses a collaborative mindset with the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
- Passion for Special Education through patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students with special needs succeed
