Vault Cashier

A Vault Teller plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and security of our Bozeman branch. This position requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Represent American Bank to customers and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
• Process customer transactions, including cashing checks, paying out cash, and depositing funds.
• Maintain adequate cash and coin supplies for the bank, including processing coin in a timely manner.
• Act as Lead Teller, providing guidance and support to other staff members.
• Verify and prepare currency and coin Federal Reserve shipments.
• Receive and process loan payments, ensuring that payments equal the amount due and that all late charges are collected.
• Sell bank products for fee income and promote bank services and cross-sell bank products.
• Provide information to customers regarding accounts and products.
• Balance cash and negotiable items, and maintain a neat work area.
• Adhere to bank policies and procedures, and perform designated management activities.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of customer service or cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to process at least 30 transactions per paid hour.
• Ability to assist other tellers in balancing and performing other activities.
• Interpersonal skills to represent American Bank in a positive way during customer/teller transactions.

• Physical requirements include standing for long periods, sitting, walking, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
• Work environment is indoors in a clean atmosphere with normal noise levels.
• Ability to work under pressure and exposed to a potentially hazardous condition - robbery.
