Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Harrison Senior Living. As an LPN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents, working closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume charge and direction of the floor, collaborating with the Director of Resident Services to ensure quality care is provided.
  • Create nurse aide assignments as needed to meet resident needs.
  • Notify the Director of Resident Services of any changes in resident condition or issues with staff members.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to established policies and procedures.
  • Update resident support plans daily as needed.
  • Assess residents and follow established policies and procedures.
  • Assist with resident Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as necessary.
  • Assist with resident meals and fluid intake to ensure proper nutrition.
  • Accompany physicians on resident visits as needed to ensure continuity of care.
  • Transcribe physician orders in a timely manner.
  • Monitor care provided by nurse aides.
  • Complete resident incident/accident reports in a timely manner.
  • Collect samples from residents for testing as needed.
  • Communicate information with families, residents, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure adequate supplies are available on the floor for all disciplines.
  • Participate in staff meetings to enhance communication between disciplines.
  • Participate in problem resolution regarding employees and floor issues.
  • Participate in orientation and training of personnel.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Accurately document all care provided to residents during the shift and before the end of the shift.
  • Chart medications immediately after administration, per policy.
  • Provide input to the Director of Resident Services regarding nurse aide performance.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, in-services, mandatory trainings/in-services, and continuing education programs.
  • Function within the limits of the Pennsylvania State Professional Standards Title 49 Chapter and in accordance with the scope of the practice permitted with licensure.
Requirements
  • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing and possess a current Practical Nurse license in good standing from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • Demonstrated management, communication, and observation skills with an interest in geriatrics.
  • Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Word.
