Construction Tradesperson

Industrial Trade Services is currently seeking a Construction Tradesperson to join our team. As a Construction Tradesperson, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to construction, including setting up hoisting equipment, raising and placing structural-steel members, and assisting in lifting, positioning, and securing materials and work pieces during installation.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the field or a related area, with a strong understanding of shop mathematics and the ability to plan work and select proper tools.

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of $27 per hour + $90 per day per diem, and benefits include a comprehensive health insurance package and paid time off.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate hoisting equipment to raise and place structural-steel members, using basic rigging knowledge for raising and placing structural steel members.
• Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing materials and work pieces during installation, and perform minor maintenance and cleaning activities on tools and equipment.
• Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, equipment, and supplies, and signal workers operating hoists to lift and place steel members.
• Guide members into position using tag lines and ensure accurate placement, and verify vertical and horizontal alignment of members using plumb bob and level.
• Cut and weld steel members for alterations using oxyacetylene welding equipment and supplies, and force members into final position using turnbuckles, crowbars, jacks, and hand tools.
