Job Summary:

Volt is seeking a highly skilled Computer Systems Engineer to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing system administration tasks, including troubleshooting and diagnosing software and operating system issues, for Windows and Red Hat systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform system administration tasks, including troubleshooting and diagnosing software and operating system issues, for Windows and Red Hat systems.
  • Generate and test patches for supported systems, including scripts to assist in delivering patches to end users.
  • Complete RMF documentation updates, cyber testing, and scans.
  • Perform fleet support to US Navy and respond to data calls from program office.

Requirements:

  • High degree of comfort working independently at Linux command line.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of progressive technical (hands-on) experience in Linux and Windows administration proficiency.
  • Experience with patching, updating, and configuring Windows and Linux systems.
  • Experience with device imaging (Linux & Windows) and proficient configuring and managing virtual environments.
  • Understanding and proficiency in implementing and maintaining system security.
  • Experience with obtaining and maintaining Authorization To Operate (ATOs) and experience with planning and designing hardware architecture and system design.
  • Capable of scripting (Bash, PowerShell) and familiar with various programming languages.
  • Strong verbal/written communications skills and ability to interact with users.
  • Knowledge of security standards, methods, and policies; risk and threat analysis; technical security safeguards; and operational security measures.
