About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Safety: Ensure the safe and effective use of medications, identifying and mitigating potential risks to patients.
  • Pharmacy Professional Practice: Stay up-to-date on the latest clinical guidelines and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
  • Regulatory Requirements: Maintain compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, ensuring the pharmacy operates in a secure and compliant environment.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives, driving continuous improvement and excellence in patient care.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to patients, customers, and colleagues, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Personnel Management: Lead and develop a high-performing team, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Inventory Management: Optimize inventory levels, ensuring the pharmacy has the necessary supplies to meet patient needs while minimizing waste and excess inventory.
  • Financial Profitability: Analyze financial data, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and drive business growth.
  • Loss Prevention: Implement strategies to prevent loss and minimize risk, ensuring the pharmacy operates in a secure and compliant environment.
  • Workflow Management: Streamline processes and workflows, improving efficiency and productivity while maintaining high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Active Pharmacy License: Hold an active pharmacy license in the state where employed.
  • Immunization Certification: Possess immunization certification through an accredited organization.
  • Background Check: Pass a background check, including a review of any pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
  • Education: Hold a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree.
