Rutherford County Schools is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Social Worker to join our team. As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in supporting the social and emotional well-being of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Meet Health and Safety Requirements
Ensure compliance with all health, physical, and background check requirements to maintain a safe and healthy learning environment.
Hold Current Tennessee LicensePossess a current Tennessee license with endorsement #488 (School Social Worker) to provide specialized support to our students.
Develop Strong Interpersonal SkillsBuild effective relationships with students, school administrators, teachers, support staff, parents, and other professionals to create a collaborative and supportive environment.
Work Independently and EffectivelyCarry out responsibilities with minimal direct supervision, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Maintain Accurate RecordsUtilize computer skills to maintain accurate records and complete required documents and paperwork related to the position.
Ensure Regular AttendanceMaintain regular attendance and be available to interact with students as needed.
Requirements- Strong Communication Skills
Possess strong written and verbal presentation skills to effectively communicate with students, staff, and parents.
Knowledge of Special Education RulesDemonstrate proficiency in the application of Special Education Federal and State rules and regulations pertaining to the referral, identification, and placement of students with disabilities.
