Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine overhead power lines to ensure vegetation clearance
  • Identify tree species and evaluate associated risks
  • Confirm post-inspection and post-trimming activities
  • Document data for effective vegetation management
  • Evaluate trees for potential hazards
  • Audit contractor work for adherence to standards
  • Assist during storm and emergency response
  • Engage with clients, contractors, and the public
  • Foster positive public relations
  • Carry out additional assigned tasks

Required Qualifications:

  • Preference for a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Forestry or a related discipline
  • ISA Certified Arborist and Pesticide license are advantageous
  • Utility Specialist certification and CTSP are beneficial
  • Experience in Forestry, Arboriculture, or Horticulture is a plus
  • Skills in regional tree identification and map interpretation
  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Capacity to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions
  • Basic proficiency in computer and smartphone usage
  • Able to operate a 4x4 vehicle on rugged terrain
  • Bilingual capabilities in English and Spanish are a plus

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to work in various outdoor environments
  • Physical capability to walk, stand, bend, and carry equipment
  • Operate assigned field tools and vehicles
  • Effective verbal communication skills
  • Normal vision and hearing range
