Senior Embryologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Embryologist to join our team at Northwell Health. As a key member of our IVF laboratory, you will be responsible for providing guidance and direction to trainees and embryologists, ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients.

• IVF Media Preparation: Prepare glassware and media for IVF procedures, ensuring proper sterilization and quality control.
• Sperm Handling and Preparation: Recover motile spermatozoa, wash and prepare sperm for in-vitro insemination, and determine percentage of motile cells.
• Oocyte Handling and Insemination: Inspect human eggs, identify oocyte maturity, and perform insemination with appropriate spermatozoa.
• Micromanipulation and Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection: Perform micromanipulation and intracytoplasmic sperm injection using high power microscopes and micromanipulating equipment.
• Embryo Culture and Transfer: Prepare embryos for transfer, maintain care of embryo transfer cannulas, and ensure proper loading of catheters.
• Quality Control and Maintenance: Maintain equipment and supply inventory, revise stock levels of laboratory supplies, and coordinate ordering and maintenance with laboratory director and secretary.

• Education: Master's Degree in Embryology, Reproductive Biology, or related field.
• Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in IVF laboratory settings.
