Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Care Assistant to join our team at Hunt Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. As a Resident Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, engaging in activities that promote their well-being and quality of life.
  • Assist with mealtime, including serving, feeding, and cleaning up after meals.
  • Help residents with mobility, including transferring, walking, and using wheelchairs.
  • Monitor and report any changes in a resident's condition to the charge nurse or nurse manager.
  • Participate in care planning and implementation, working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure resident-centered care.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning and organizing resident rooms and common areas.
  • Assist with laundry, including washing, drying, and folding clothes.
  • Provide transportation for residents to and from appointments and activities.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as answering phones, taking messages, and completing paperwork.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
