As a Youth Care Professional, you will play a vital role in the care and treatment of our youth, assisting them in developing life and social skills in a residential setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a Safe and Supportive Environment: Demonstrate skills, abilities, and knowledge that promote a safe physical and emotional environment for children and families within the context of their living environment.
- Assist with Treatment Objectives: Develop, implement, monitor, and report on treatment objectives for the youth, recognizing differentiating youth behaviors and participating in designated treatment teams to implement and execute treatment and behavior management plans.
- Manage Activities and Ensure Safety: Responsible for managing activities within an individual or group dynamic, assuring the safety of the youth assigned by utilizing appropriate emergency and crisis intervention principles and techniques as needed.
- Build Productive Relationships: Proactively maintain current knowledge of the emotional/behavior status of youth and their families, assess the effectiveness of treatment plans, and support interactions with family and local community.
- Ensure Compliance and Quality: Demonstrate the emotional competence and good judgment required to build productive and supportive relationships with youth and families, while implementing required rules and routines, and ensuring the safety of the children/youth assigned.
- Education: High school diploma or GED
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license and meet agency driving standards
