Job Description

As a key member of our DevOps Platform Team at TEKsystems, you will be responsible for implementing and supporting code management and observability tools that align with DevOps best practices in an enterprise setting. Your efforts will focus on automating common requests, developing self-service capabilities in all our tools, and collaborating with our 24x7 support teams to handle after-hours support. Additionally, you will be expected to participate in rotational on-call duties, monitor chat channels, and resolve incident tickets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and test UI, services, and backend components and databases.
  • Develop and maintain REST APIs using dynamic server coding environments such as Python, Ruby, Angular, or Node.js.
  • Work with Linux/Windows OS administration, including secure configuration, patching, and troubleshooting, shell scripting.
  • Proficiency with cloud hosting solutions, particularly AWS, its native tools, and other utilities designed for the AWS platform.
  • Collaborate on efforts to automate common requests, develop self-service capabilities, and partner with 24x7 support teams.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience and knowledge in software development lifecycle (SDLC) in both waterfall and Agile environments.
  • Thorough knowledge of enterprise-class application performance management tools, such as New Relic, and performance testing tools like StormRunner and BlazeMeter.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles, continuous improvement, amplified feedback loops, rapid experimentation, and A3 problem-solving.
  • Bachelor's Degree or applicable work experience plus 6-9 years of experience in a software engineering and development role.
