About the Role

This is a dynamic opportunity to join Haldex as a Territory Manager, where you will play a key role in driving sales growth and developing strong relationships with key customers in the heavy duty vehicle industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase Haldex product sales to distribution partners
  • Travel extensively throughout the assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers, promoting products and providing training to distributor sales representatives
  • Develop and implement promotions to grow Haldex sales
  • Gain Haldex fleet specifications at key regional and target fleets
  • Maintain a high level of personal product application knowledge
  • Make technical product presentations to customer groups
  • Display or demonstrate product, using samples or catalog, and emphasize saleable features
  • Understand and use value-added selling tools
  • Maintain close relationships with marketing and sales teams
  • Conduct product application and installation training
  • Communicate effectively with all customers, peers, and management
  • Quote prices and credit terms and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained
  • Work within Haldex budget requirements
  • Prepare reports of business transactions and keep expense accounts
  • Work with customer service representatives to keep account activities up to date
  • Enter new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database or provide information to customer service
  • Investigate and resolve customer problems with deliveries
  • Attend trade shows
  • Complete yearly/territory business plans
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training in the Heavy Duty Vehicle Industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write professional reports and business correspondence
  • Strong presentation skills, including responding professionally to questions from groups of managers and customers
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Knowledge of Contact Management systems; Database software; Internet software; Order processing systems; Microsoft Office Applications - specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Additional Requirements
  • Must be able to travel by air, car, or other means of standard transportation, up to 75% both domestically and internationally
  • Must be able to qualify for Corporate Credit Card
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license
  • Must comply with company Safety rules
Work Environment

This is an independent home-based work environment, with up to 75% of the job spent traveling.
