Job Summary
Trane Technologies is seeking a Materials Supervisor to oversee the daily activities of warehouse staff in a high-volume, fast-paced, lean manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and driving change to improve efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness in material receipt, storage, and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warehouse Operations: Achieve operational objectives by contributing to strategic plans and reviews, forecasting requirements, preparing budgets, and analyzing variances.
- Inventory Management: Develop and implement systems for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.
- Process Improvement: Continuously develop, implement, enforce, and evaluate policies and procedures to improve warehouse operations.
- Warehouse Design: Plan and implement new design layouts, inspect equipment, and issue work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Team Leadership: Direct and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient material delivery.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred; 5+ years of related experience required in lieu of degree.
- Experience in integrated manufacturing functions, rate-based or flow line, and job shop manufacturing environments.
- Experience with operations, inventory management, visual management systems, Microsoft Office products, inventory control/shipping software, MRP, and lean manufacturing processes.
- Data analysis skills and intermediate to advanced Excel knowledge.
