Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and assess patient histories, identifying any abnormal conditions
  • Conduct physical examinations and evaluate symptoms to determine optimal treatment plans
  • Prescribe medications and administer treatments as necessary
  • Monitor patient progress and maintain accurate records of treatments and medical events
  • Document patient medical information and manage patient charts
  • Educate patients regarding their health conditions and available treatment options
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Perform data entry to maintain patient records within facility databases
  • Engage in ongoing education to enhance skills and stay updated on current practices
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards, including patient confidentiality and risk management
  • Exhibit professionalism and courtesy when interacting with patients and colleagues
  • Adapt to varying patient flow and operational demands while maintaining quality care
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • Active Tennessee Physician Assistant License
  • 1-3 years of experience in Urgent Care, Emergency Room, or similar settings
  • Current CPR Certification
