We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Operating Room at WellSpan Health. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our surgical services team.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement, direct, and coordinate patient care through the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Recognize and treat physical and psychosocial changes unique to the age/population group served on the specific unit.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient surgical procedures.
- Maintain aseptic techniques and actively monitor situations that could lead to breaches in aseptic techniques.
- Assist surgeons during operations by retracting tissues under direction and identifying and caring for specimens.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
- Eligible for or currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in Pennsylvania.
- Certification in specialty preferred.
- CPR certification required.
- Previous nursing experience in specialty area preferred.
- Experience applying customer service behaviors and communication skills required.
