We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative individual to join our Process Control Engineering organization at the Mon Valley Works operation in the Pittsburgh, PA area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting process control automation systems.

We are looking for a bright and ambitious leader with technical skills, energy, and a passion for process improvement.

Responsibilities:
  • Support critical steel making operations at Mon Valley Works by ensuring process control systems are highly available and error resistant.
  • Identify, participate in, and/or lead high-impact process control projects that result in improvements to safety, quality, production yield, and/or financial benefits.
  • Collaborate closely with Corporate Research & Technology, Engineering, and Plant Operations Leadership to define process control strategy and develop solutions.
  • Partner with plant operations and global peer leaders to develop, support, and champion the application of process control best practices.
  • Work closely with operations teams to understand requirements and identify improvement opportunities; translate into project or minor enhancement specifications, complete with work estimates and forecasted benefits.
Requirements:
  • Working towards a Bachelor's or Associates degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering or other engineering-related degree.
  • Classroom and/or project experience in software design, programming concepts, and one of the following computer languages: C, Java, C#, or Python.
