Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in various activities, including filling patient medication orders, preparing medications, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Deliver medications to patient care areas and automated dispensing cabinets, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Perform routine medication area inspections to ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of pharmaceutical and medical terminology, as well as general pharmacy procedures.
  • Collaborate with other pharmacy staff to ensure seamless operation of the department.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Successful completion of on-the-job training in each area of the department within the first six months of employment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and physicians.
Working Conditions

This position requires standing and walking for up to eight hours per day, with frequent lifting and carrying of up to 35 pounds. The ability to work in a clean and safe environment is essential.
