About the Role

Soliant Education is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team of professionals dedicated to improving student outcomes. This full-time contract position is available in a school setting, where you will work directly with students to support their development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments to identify students' occupational therapy needs and develop individualized therapy plans to address these needs.
  • Direct Therapy Services: Provide individual and group therapy sessions to students, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote their development and independence.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting students' needs.
  • Progress Monitoring and Documentation: Regularly track and document student progress, using this information to inform therapy plans and make data-driven decisions.
  • IEP Participation: Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing to goal-setting and ensuring that students' occupational therapy needs are addressed within their IEPs.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Ohio.
  • Certification: NBCOT certification is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience: Experience working with school-aged children is highly valued, but not essential.
  • Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
