Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation Technician to join our team, specializing in maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience and a proactive attitude to our dynamic workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair process instrumentation as part of the maintenance program.
- Maintain various process instruments, including valves and vibration monitors.
- Conduct pressure tests on pneumatic instruments to ensure operational integrity.
- Perform troubleshooting on energized motor control systems.
- Size and select thermal overloads, breakers, and fuses appropriately.
- Evaluate and troubleshoot instrumentation across electrical, pneumatic, and electronic systems, including PLCs.
- Assess instrument performance to identify opportunities for optimization.
- Conduct loop checks on electrical wiring for continuity and proper termination.
- Perform field calibration of electronic instruments, including transmitters and controllers.
- Interpret and troubleshoot from one-line schematics, P&IDs, and ladder diagrams.
- Utilize electrical testing equipment, including AMP meters and insulation testers.
- Understand and apply relevant electrical safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of the NCCER Skill Assessment.
- Ability to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
- A minimum of four years of relevant experience in the field.
- An Associate's Degree in Instrumentation or a related discipline.
