Travel Radiation Therapist

Job Summary:
Samaritan Medical Center is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team in a travel position. As a Radiation Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Radiation Oncology department.
Responsibilities:
- Provide radiation therapy treatments to patients with cancer, following established protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with oncologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and effective treatment plans.
- Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Conduct patient assessments, taking into account medical history, treatment plans, and individual needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating radiation therapy and other modalities as necessary.
- Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatments, outcomes, and progress.
Requirements:
- One year of experience in radiologic/imaging, with a focus on radiation therapy.
- Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Current BCLS certification.
- Possesses knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Maintains all registries and licenses required by state and federal law.
Work Environment:
- Day Shift (7a-5p) with weekend rotation.
