The Senior Analyst plays a crucial role in the fee-for-service landscape, focusing on contract negotiations, rate modeling, and performance evaluations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the analytical lead in modeling contract rates during managed care negotiations.
- Engage in various aspects of negotiations with payors, including proposals, rate validation, and communication with insurance providers.
- Assess payor performance in terms of profitability, compliance, and retrospective reviews.
- Collaborate with the business office to support contract interpretation and denial reviews.
- Oversee the implementation of payor contracts within the management system, ensuring accuracy.
- Work with hospitals to create and review revenue projections for new services.
- Lead projects assessing the financial impact of managed care initiatives.
- Research and analyze changes in managed care policies and their implications for the health system.
- Model the financial impact of new technologies and notify payers as per contractual obligations.
- Act as a resource for managed care inquiries, providing support on reimbursement and contractual matters.
- Undertake special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
- Experience with complex managed care contracts.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in large data manipulation.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Five years of experience in healthcare reimbursement.
- Experience in problem-solving related to reimbursement and revenue cycle.
Work Environment:
This position is fully remote, with the option for in-person work if preferred.
