About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team at Green Thumb Industries as a Medical Cannabis Dispenser. In this role, you will serve as the onsite medical authority, ensuring patients receive correct dosage and education on cannabis products. You will have the unique opportunity to serve as a one-on-one educator to our cannabis patients, assessing their needs and providing personalized recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Be present at all times during your scheduled shift to provide dispensation of cannabis products.
- Assess patient certification to monitor for restrictions and provide guidance on best course of treatment.
- Drive retail sales and patient retention through exceptional customer service and product knowledge.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as federal and state laws.
- Communicate restrictions with the dispensary team to ensure accurate product selection and quantity.
- Provide timely and accurate medication information to patients over the phone and in-person.
- Educate new and existing patients about the properties and benefits of cannabis.
- Consult with patients to assess their certification and recommend the best course of treatment.
- Stay up-to-date on current research and information related to cannabis and marijuana.
- Assist with additional dispensary tasks as assigned by the store manager, including inventory control, employee training, and patient orders.
Requirements
- Must be a registered and licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the state of operations.
- 2+ years of relevant pharmacy experience with a strong patient-focused approach.
- Ability to learn and understand cannabinoids and their interactions with the human body.
- Previous experience with Point of Sale technology systems.
- Working knowledge of inventory and sales reporting.
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and innovative, with excellent critical thinking skills.
- Ability to operate with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including handling confidential information.
- Must understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Green Thumb Industries.
- Must have a solid understanding of cannabis laws, rules, and regulations, and a passion for furthering their knowledge of the industry.
- Meet the scheduling and availability requirements to meet business needs.
Additional Requirements
- Must pass any and all required background checks.
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
- Must be approved by the state badging agency to work in the cannabis industry.
