Math Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Math Educator to join our team at Behavioral Health Associates. As a Math Educator, you will play a critical role in providing academic support and guidance to students with emotional and behavioral disorders.

• Develop and Implement Instructional Programs
  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective math lessons to students in an elementary or secondary learning environment.
  • Develop and implement schemes of work, lesson plans, and tests that align with established procedures and standards.
• Monitor and Assess Student Progress
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual students.
  • Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction, and to track student progress.
• Manage Classroom Environment
  • Establish and maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment that promotes learning and socialization.
  • Manage student behavior and maintain discipline in accordance with school rules and procedures.
• Communicate with Parents and Colleagues
  • Communicate regularly with parents and colleagues regarding student progress and needs.
  • Participate in program, school, and district meetings to share best practices and collaborate with colleagues.

• Education and Certification
  • Bachelor's degree in teaching or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Pennsylvania certification or private certification in teaching in the appropriate subject area.
• Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Basic computer literacy and proficiency in relevant technology.
