Job Overview

The Switcher I is a critical role in our warehouse operations, responsible for safely and efficiently transporting full and empty trailers between the docks and designated drop parking locations in the Trailer Yard. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport full and empty trailers between the docks and designated drop parking spaces
  • Inspect trailers before transporting to identify issues of mechanical maintenance needs and potential safety hazards
  • Maintain organization of the trailer yard to ensure efficient and safe transport of trailers
  • Perform other tasks including pallet building as determined and requested by management
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Knowledge acquired through 1 to up to 3 years of work experience
  • PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) Certification including Pallet Jack, Forklift, Double Forklift, and Switch Tractor
Work Environment
