Key Responsibilities- Patient Safety: Ensure the safe handling and administration of medications, as well as the proper disposal of hazardous waste.
- Pharmacy Professional Practice: Stay up-to-date on the latest pharmacy practices and regulations, and apply this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Regulatory Requirements: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and improve the quality of patient care, including medication therapy management and disease state management.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient and customer needs in a timely and professional manner.
- Personnel Management: Supervise and develop your Pharmacy Technician Support Staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, including ordering and stocking medications, supplies, and equipment.
- Financial Profitability: Contribute to the financial success of the pharmacy, including managing budgets and controlling costs.
- Loss Prevention: Identify and mitigate potential losses, including theft, waste, and other forms of loss.
- Workflow Management: Optimize workflow processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Active Pharmacy License in the state in which you are employed.
- Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
- Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (i.e. APhA).
- Free of pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree.
