Senior Merchant

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Merchant to join our team at Walmart. As a Senior Merchant, you will be responsible for leading a cross-functional buying matrix team, establishing strategy and managing budgets to drive profitable growth, developing robust partnerships with suppliers, and using vision and creativity to impact the customer experience for both stores and eCommerce channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional buying matrix team to drive category growth and profitability
• Establish and manage budgets to drive profitable growth
• Develop and maintain robust partnerships with suppliers to drive innovation and cost savings
• Use data and analytics to inform category strategy and drive business decisions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive customer-centric solutions and improve the customer experience
• Develop and implement category strategies to drive growth and profitability
• Manage and analyze data to inform business decisions and drive category growth

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, or related field and 4 years' experience in merchandising, buying, financial planning, operations, or related area
• OR 6 years' experience in merchandising, buying, financial planning, operations, or related area
• 1 year's supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Office
• Negotiating with third-party suppliers
• Supervisory experience
