Pedorthic Specialist Job Description

Pacific Medical, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Pedorthic Specialist to join our team in Roseville, CA. As a key member of our patient care facility, you will be responsible for evaluating patients, designing, fabricating, fitting, modifying, maintaining, and repairing pedorthic devices to prevent or alleviate painful and disabling conditions affecting the ankle or below.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and document patient data, including anthropometric measurements, cognition, circulation, skin integrity, protective sensation, pain, peripheral nerve integrity, endurance, biomechanics, gait analysis, range of motion, muscle strength, posture, balance, and safety.
  • Formulate a treatment plan based on comprehensive assessments to alleviate limitations, improve function, and enhance quality of life.
  • Implement pedorthic treatment plans, including verification of prescriptions, evaluation of prescription rationale, recommendation incorporation of patient and/or caregiver input, development of functional goals, use of evidence-based practice, analysis of structural and design requirements, and consultation with or referral to other healthcare professionals.
  • Supervise the provision of care, document patient education and instruction, and ensure successful pedorthist outcomes, patient health, and quality of life.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure and/or certification in good standing by governing agencies in your field of study.
  • Maintenance of CMEs annually in accordance with ABC and BOC guidelines.
  • Practice within your scope of work unless privileged by a supervisor or practitioner of another specialty.
  • Adherence to employee handbook guidelines upon hire.
  • Attendance and participation in HIPAA compliance, sexual harassment training, and universal precautions training.
  • Maintenance of compliance with ABC facility accreditation and leadership in its implementation.
Compensation:

$25.00 - $35.00 / hr
