About the Role

Penn State Health is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at St. Joseph Medical Center. As a key member of our echocardiography department, you will be responsible for performing cardiac ultrasound studies to aid in the diagnosis of cardiac disease.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct high-quality echocardiograms to assess cardiac function and structure
  • Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology to provide expert-level care
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in echocardiography and cardiac sonography to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; ARDMS or CCI registration or eligibility preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
