About the Role:
As a vital member of the Northeast Georgia Health System, you will deliver expert clinical nutrition services. This includes conducting nutritional evaluations, providing dietary counseling, creating tailored diet plans, and implementing nutrition interventions for patients. Your primary objective is to enhance patient satisfaction, uphold quality care standards, ensure compliance with regulations, and foster positive public relations. You will adhere to population-specific guidelines and comply with National Patient Safety Goals while executing your clinical responsibilities.
Minimum Job Qualifications:- Licensure or other certifications: Registered by the Commission for Dietetic Registration. Licensed by the state of Georgia.
- Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum Experience: Relevant experience in clinical nutrition.
- Other: Additional qualifications may be considered.
- Preferred Licensure or other certifications: Additional certifications in specialized areas.
- Preferred Educational Requirements: Advanced degrees or specialized training.
- Preferred Experience: Experience in a clinical setting.
- Other: Other relevant qualifications.
- Language skills: Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting scientific literature, financial documents, and legal texts. Strong presentation skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Computer skills: Competent in standard computer operations, including proficiency in MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Mathematical skills: Capable of performing calculations involving figures, proportions, percentages, and basic algebra.
- Reasoning ability: Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw logical conclusions.
- Develops and implements tailored nutritional care plans for patients. Evaluates nutritional status, formulates care strategies, and educates patients and their families on dietary needs. Provides specialized nutrition care as required.
- Engages in initiatives promoting optimal nutrition while committing to ongoing education and professional development. Conducts educational sessions, participates in support groups and committees, and seeks continuous learning opportunities.
- Maintains effective communication through various channels. Collaborates with healthcare professionals, ensures accurate documentation, and promotes clear communication within the Nutrition Services team.
- Acts as a resource and educator. Provides guidance to staff, mentors colleagues, and ensures patient visits are managed effectively.
- Adheres to safety and regulatory standards in job performance. Maintains confidentiality, complies with regulatory requirements, and actively participates in Performance Improvement initiatives.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
