Job Summary

We are seeking a Medical Specialist to join our team at a Plasma Donation Center in Athens, GA.

Responsibilities

As a Medical Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing physical examinations and establishing medical histories to determine donor suitability
  • Building rapport with donors to ensure overall customer satisfaction
  • Ensuring donor and staff confidentiality
  • Providing donor education regarding general health and counseling regarding unacceptable test results
  • Evaluating and managing donor injuries and adverse events
  • Performing evaluations of any history of illness or medications to ensure continued donor suitability
  • Assisting in employee training and administering the employee Hepatitis Vaccine program

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be:

  • Educated and currently certified/licensed in the state of employment and according to state requirements as a Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocation Nurse, or Registered Nurse
  • Current CPR certification
