Position Summary
  • Deliver outstanding service to patients and visitors while providing essential support to physicians and clinic staff.
  • Manage patient registration, ensure accurate information entry, process payments, handle multiple phone lines, schedule appointments, and perform various clerical tasks.
  • Must possess a minimum of 6 months of experience in the healthcare sector, demonstrate excellent communication abilities, have basic knowledge of Word and Outlook, exhibit strong data entry skills, and the capacity to multitask effectively.
  • Preferred qualifications include familiarity with medical terminology and experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
Qualifications

Education
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in computer applications is required.
  • Additional education in medical terminology, electronic medical record training, or business-related courses is preferred.
Experience
  • A minimum of one year of clerical experience and six months of healthcare experience is required, ideally in a comparable role.
  • Experience in medical office settings, insurance processing, referrals, prior authorizations, or hospital environments is preferred.
  • Typing skills should be accurate at 40 words per minute.
  • Strong customer service skills, telephone etiquette, and proficiency in computer applications are essential.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Hourly wage ranges from $13.74 to $22.44, based on prior work experience.
