Job Summary:

As a Nurse Extern II at Froedtert Hospital, you will have the opportunity to work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and assist with the assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluation of nursing care for an identified group of patients. This role is ideal for nursing students who are awaiting their temporary permit from the state of Wisconsin or awaiting to retake the NCLEX exam.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with patient assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluation of nursing care
  • Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
  • Participate in clinical rotations and gain hands-on experience in patient care
  • Develop and implement nursing care plans
  • Document patient information and medical records
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in last year of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and awaiting temporary license and expected to take initial exam within 60 days of graduation
  • Awaiting to retake the NCLEX exam
Preferred Qualifications:
  • State of Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA)
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent
