We are seeking an experienced Facilities Controls Specialist/Building Automation Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for providing technical support to the operations team at a local VA healthcare facility in Grand Island, Nebraska.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality assurance for mechanical, plumbing, and controls systems
  • Read and understand engineering drawings, including wiring, architecture, and sequences
  • Coordinate work with other trades and upper-tier Contractors
  • Inspect physical installations, document, and report deficiencies
  • Install control components, verify control-point wiring, and calibrate sensors
  • Diagnose issues, determine corrective actions, and repair systems
  • Modify DDC local control panels and analyze/control software for HVAC comfort and energy management
  • Support project-specific As-Built drawings and commissioning documentation
  • Assist in site-specific training for owner/operators on the total building control system
  • Participate in job site final walks and warranty issue resolution
  • Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on building automation systems

Requirements:

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in facilities maintenance and control
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Ability to manage assigned workload efficiently
  • Proficiency in PC applications and programming of DDC software
  • Pass a drug test and thorough background check for access onto a military installation
