About the PositionThe Department of Criminology and Justice is a dynamic and growing unit within the College of Arts and Sciences, committed to excellence in teaching, research, and service. We are seeking a candidate who will contribute to our mission by teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, conducting research, and mentoring students.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in criminology and justice, including introductory courses, upper-level electives, and graduate seminars.
- Conduct research in criminology and justice, with a focus on publishing in top-tier journals and securing external funding.
- Mentor students in research projects, theses, and dissertations.
- Develop and maintain a strong research agenda, with a focus on securing external funding and publishing in top-tier journals.
- Participate in departmental and college service, including committee work, curriculum development, and recruitment efforts.
- Ph.D. in Criminology, Justice, or a related field.
- Established research agenda and a strong publication record.
- Potential to secure external funding and publish in top-tier journals.
- Excellent teaching and mentoring skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
